What an amazing bag. I can take it camping or just on day trips. Great quality!

I bought the waxed khaki version at the store in Duluth a few years ago and has since traveled to all six inhabited continents, often in very rugged conditions. Being a minimalist traveler, this is literally the only luggage I carry. Its exceptionally high in quality. Though its not really designed for trekking, I have taken it to the top of Mt Elbert, the jungles of Cambodia, the Nevada desert, and the canals of Amsterdam. Its just perfect for everything. At some point I may investigate Duluth Pack options for slightly larger versions of the same concept, perhaps with a less tight front pocket, but theres not much that can be improved here for what I do.

I purchased my roll -top scout pack last year,to use it as everyday pack while cycling around town and of course when i took my newborn baby for walks.\nIt is a great pack that holds all of my stuff plus the necessary items for my baby girl,like diapers,bottle,couple toys,wet tissues etc.\nI really like its character and since it's my second pack,i can say that Duluth makes awesome products.

I have been eyeing the roll top scout for a number of years and finally broke down and bought it! I am not disappointed! It is perfect for all my EDC stuff as well as expandable enough for a full day hike or more! Love it!

Had the pack a few weeks now and carried it for 10days in New York. The quality seems really high, no issues there. A small side pocket or a way to carry a water bottle or something would have been nice. With that said they make other packs that have similar features so not really a problem I guess but I noticed the lack of pockets. Good quality pack and Duluth has great customer service so I'll be back for sure.

I love that the backpack is american made, it has rustic and bohemian look to it. They were out of stock of it but called me right after and let me know iw ould come the followibg week. And it came a day early! I am very pleased with my purchase! High quality backpack that I hope to use for many uears to come!

Arrived on time as described

I love this pack. I use it for day hiking trips. The wide cotton web straps distribute the weight nicely so I don't end up with sore shoulders, it carries more than a person would think, and it is a great size for my petite frame. However, when I let my fiance try it (who has shoulders like a linebacker), no matter how he tried to adjust the straps, they cut into his sides. Also, having to undo two straps to get to an item at the base of the pack can be a little time consuming. I see the new model has a side zipper. What a great idea! I will be sure to try and get a side zipper installed on this bag.

I don't care for it at all! But am stuck with it... Sorry I purchased!!

I love the look of this pack and the room it has. I am taking it on a trip soon and will be better able to review it when I return. I don't think I will be disappointed!

I've been wanting this bag since I saw it in a store in Portland, OR last year. I was hesitant to pay the price, so I passed it up even though I kept considering going back for it. Anytime I'd see a backpack, I'd compare it to the feel and quality of the Duluth brand and everything in the similar price range seemed lower quality. So, I finally splurged and ordered the waxed roll-top scout and I loved it the moment I opened that box. (Did I mention my package arrived in like two or three days? Which is pretty awesome as well!) The smell, the feel, the storage space... not to mention the lifetime guarantee, and a product made in the USA. I'd highly recommend, and I doubt I'll ever buy a different brand after having such a positive experience with Duluth.

This one of the best small to medium-sized packs I've ever owned. The workmanship and attention to detail is just outstanding; as is the Duluth Pack lifetime guarantee! I'll be taking this pack with me when my wife and I explore the hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest this summer. I expect that it will be the perfect size for day-long adventures! I just bought this pack as it was on sale. I already have a canoe pack and really wanted a rolltop. I saw other reviewers say the same comments as i am now writing but didn't pay too much notice. I am 6ft and around 160 lbs so I am not wide but the way the straps are connected to the backpack very close to the middle of the pack,make the straps dig into my sides right from the very first minute i put the pack on. It's basically so uncomfortable that its rendered useless and an expensive $200 CAD which i can now not return.

Took advantage of Duluth's generous Christmas sale (2016) and got a roll-top in waxed canvas. Not only is the quality everything I expected, but this thing just swallows up gear. I use it primarily as a bike bag and have yet to fill it up past the buckles. It rolls down nice and snug and is very comfortable even on longer rides in South Florida weather. And, the customer service at Duluth is awesome!

I am very please about the overall quality and craftsmanship of this pack. I was originally purchasing it as a bushcraft / outdoor pack, but currently I have being using it as my EDC pack! Many thanks to the Duluth Pack team and my pack maker Anna!!!
