I received this backpack as a gift almost 15 years ago. There is some slight fading of the color and ware that comes along with years of use and abuse but this pack is the longest lasting and durable pack I've owned. 100% worth the money and would recommend to anyone looking for a workhorse pack for daily use.
The bag arrived well packaged / on-time.Stitching, material looked durable and well made - It is big enough to fit a 17 gaming laptop so it may not be for you if you are smaller / looking for something "light". If you are 5'9 and up, it shouldn't be a problem. The shoulder straps come STIFF and SHARP (be careful slipping them on/off when new)... Have been wearing the backpack at home to help break-in the leather (bag stuffed with gear/laptop)... That said, I expect a lifetime of use from the straps/bag due to the "beefiness" of the build.Buy with confidence!
My parents purchased me this pack when I went off to college in 2008. Since then it traveled to multiple countries, and continents. It was often my only piece of luggage on trips because it fit so much. In February of this year it was stolen, so I am purchasing a new version of it. I would still have my original if not for the theft- these bags are so durable!
I absolutely love mine! It has been everywhere with me since buying it and I use it every single day! As a photographer, it gets a lot of use in wild conditions and has held up and looks like new still! I even bring it to work every day and its perfectly presentable. I got the waxed version and it has always kept my stuff extra dry even in heavy rain or snowstorms. The laptop sleeve is super protective and even fits my mammoth 17.3" laptop with ease. The front pocket is the perfect size to fit my camera body and a few lenses and the internal organizer allows me to keep my pens and a small journal at all times without worrying about ink leaking on my things or the paper bending. The leather is in perfect places to prevent wear. It was actually the deciding factor for me when purchasing this pack over the Standard Laptop Backpack. The leather is placed in such a way that any time I set it down, the leather is the contact point and is able to hold up longer. The leather straps take some breaking in but they form fit directly to my shoulders after a bit of use and now is an even more comfortable fit than the padded straps of my old synthetic backpack from a different brand. Size-wise, this pack is large enough for me to fit all I need for work, photoshoots, or weekend trips but isn't so big that the pack is clumsy or catches branches on the trail. \n\n5/5 stars no doubt.
We bought this pack for our son going off to college. We purchased the color that were his school colors. Kelly was very helpful in getting it monogrammed for him. It is big and holds everything. We really love the look and space design. I was wondering if there were sheep straps that you could buy for the straps? The leather is thick-and does rub on your arms when full.
this is the hardest working backpack you will find. It looks great and performs better. I have brought this bag all over the world and I have never had an issue. It holds anything from my laptop, boots, athletic gear, planner, hammock. Thank you for the quality craftsmanship and making in MN!
