Conceal & Carry Mini Haversack

The purse is Amazing quality - that I love about it. However, the purpose of conceal carry is very limited. If this purse had a top load draw access that would be ideal. Draw is too slow with the way the zippers are set up plus not good at all for a left hander.

I have tried this bag with a Kimber Micro 380 and a Sig Sauer P238. I was able to phenagle the inside holster for these sub-micro autos but I was never able to get a clean draw with the Micros. I seemed to end up waving my hand around in the air with my hand on the grip but I could not get enough torque to draw the pistol until I went with a 2 hand draw, one hand holding the case while the other drew the piece. It's too bad I couldn't make this configuration work. I had gone to carrying either a 1911 compact or a CZ 75B in the main compartment. Since there is no holster in this part of the bag I have been using belt holsters with thumb breaks. I can attach the holster to the bag using a velcro configuration I made myself. In this way I can carry a full size autoloader cocked and locked. But there is still a certain amount of fumbling to pull the gun out of the bag. I finally gave up and started using an ankle holster with a CZ 2075. The draw takes more time than drawing from the belt line but at least I do get a clean draw each time.\n\nI can imagine this bag could work well with a snubby although I didn't try that. Sorry guys, it is a beautiful bag and I liked carrying it around, but it isn't very practical.

Part of the reason to "carry" is quick access to your "protection". The positioning of the proposed carry portion in the back and being zippered does not allow for quick access. It does, however, allow quick access in the front pocket of the bag if you carry your bag unbuckled as I do with my older model mini haversack bag. This pocket also allows you to carry a bigger firearm with more bullet capacity. The zippered "carry" portion of the newer design leads more to a "safe haven" for your money or credit cards. If this bag was not identified as a carry bag and still had the side pockets or the older style bag, I would have rated it with 5 stars.
