Classic Carry-On Bag

Finally splurged. I love my waxed canvas carry-on. Wanted it for months and finally pulled the trigger as I have a few big trips and weekends away coming up. Great thing about this bag is that it collapses small enough to be my daily commuter. It's not perfect for it, but it looks so good doing it that I don't care. \n \nI get compliments daily. \n \nThanks Duluth pack! A backpack is in my future soon!

The legacy of Duluth Pack has been generationally relevant to my own family. I grew up canoeing in the BWCAW with Duluth Packs since before I can even remember, and I loved the look and the quality! When I entered graduate school over twenty years ago and searched for a high-capacity bookbag, I stumbled upon something that seemed to have been designed by a clairvoyant: the Duluth Pack Classic Carry-On! This is a high-quality bag that boasts adequate storage and organizational features without excessive compartments. It is classy as a briefcase with a simultaneously chic rustic aesthetic, like something Indiana Jones would've chosen. Even when I'm not putting it to regular use, it looks beautiful on my bookcase, and it's a conversation-starter among so many friends-both those who knowingly ask, "Is that a Duluth Pack bag?" and those who say, "I want something like this. What is Duluth Pack?" the two decades I've had it, this bag has been with me through college courses, wildland fire training, teaching college courses, recruiting jobs, and family vacations. I have used it as a makeshift mini filing cabinet, a school bag, a bike messenger bag, and of course, a carry-on (as the name suggests).I have sent this bag back to Duluth Pack multiple times to receive essential repairs that are inevitable with aging and use, and Duluth Pack has been thorough and stalwart in returning my bag with not only adequate repairs, but also apparently� repairs that make the bag even better than when I first bought it! I hope to keep my Classic Carry On for life.

I wanted something I could use for just about anything. I used to have a jansport backpack for school and daily carry but the zipper was damaged and I wanted something American made. It needed handles but also sling carry. The handles make it great for grabbing quickly if you're moving a short bit or sling if it's a walk. Also can use the handles for a briefcase type feel. In addition the handles lock in great on a suitcase if traveling. I've used this bag for school, flying(carry on), daily use, gym, and works great when I take my motorcycle. The only complaint I had was the pictures and video show a burgundy red but it's really more of a true burgundy. Still looks great and I think I like this color better but they should show the actual color. Highly recommend

This bag has gotten HEAVY daily use as a briefcase for almost six years - nicely broken in and not a sign of wear. I am a college professsor - this bag has carried heavy textbooks and gear, has been tossed around, opened and closed thousands of times. Quality zippers and buckles. Holds more than you’d think without being bulky. On a scale of 1-10 it is an 11.
