The weather is getting colder, the air is getting crisper, and the leaves are beginning to change. Autumn marks the beginning of the annual holiday season, full of celebrations and quality time with friends and family. When coming together and enjoying your favorite aspects of fall, whatever that may be, you do not want to forget about the party refreshments. We have found 4 sangria recipes, each with a special twist, that will be the talk of any occasion you attend.

Caramel Apple Pie Sangria-

This first recipe is a fall sangria that starts with a base of white wine and includes tones of apple cider, hints of caramel, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. This recipe was found on The Cookie Rookie Blog, which takes 10 minutes to prepare and makes about 8 servings.

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles of standard size white table wine (or Pinot Grigio)
  • 5 cups fresh apple cider
  • 1 cup caramel vodka
  • 4 honey crisp apples chopped
  • 2 pears chopped
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups of ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Cut the fruit and place in the bottom of your pitcher or jug.
  2. Combine all ingredients, except the cinnamon sticks.
  3. Stir, stir, and stir some more.
  4. Let sit for 1-2 hours in the fridge.
  5. About 1 hour before serving, throw in the cinnamon sticks.
  6. Add in the ginger ale before serving.
  7. Serve over ice and enjoy!

Pumpkin Spice Sangria-

Yep, you read that right. Your favorite latte beverage is now in sangria form; how exciting. This unique sangria starts with a base of white wine and bourbon, with additional flares of maple, pumpkin spice, and apple cider with each sip. It only takes a few minutes to prep, which makes it a simple, quick sangria recipe that is great for anyone in a rush or with limited time.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1 pear
  • 5 cups of apple cider
  • ¼ tsp pumpkin spice
  • 2 tbsps maple syrup
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • 1 bottle white wine (Sauvignon Blanc, recommended)

Instructions

  1. Slice the apples and pears (cores removed) and place them into a pitcher.
  2. Add bourbon, maple syrup, pumpkin spice, apple cider, and white wine. Stir to combine.
  3. While the sangria can be served immediately, it is best when it sits in the refrigerator for a few hours letting the flavors combine.

Pear and Apple Fall Sangria-

For all you fruit lovers out there, this is the sangria for you. It is filled with fall’s most iconic flavors, including sweet apples, cinnamon, oranges, and pears. This recipe can be found on The Forked Spoon blog, only takes a total of 5 minutes to prep, and serves 6.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples (cored and thinly sliced)
  • 2 pears (cored and thinly sliced)
  • 1 orange (sliced and cut into quarters)
  • 1 bottle white wine (Pinot grigio, Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay)
  • 1 cup pear liqueur
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle hard apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • Ice
  • Tonic water (optional*)
  • Fresh rosemary (to garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add the apples, pears, and orange slices to a large pitcher followed by the white wine, pear liqueur, hard apple cider, and cinnamon sticks.
  2. Stir well to thoroughly combine the fruits with the alcohol.
  3. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
  4. When ready to serve, fill the desired number of glasses with ice and fill with sangria. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and top off with tonic water, if desired. Enjoy!

Fireball Apple Sangria

This recipe is for the firecrackers of the group, the individuals who like an extra little pizzazz in their drinks. This recipe is packed with flavor and includes Fireball whisky, white wine, apple cider, and a splash of ginger ale. The author of 3 Yummy Tummies Blog created this sangria recipe. It has a prep time of 5 minutes and serves 8.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples (thinly sliced)
  • 5 cups apple cider
  • 5-liter Pinot Grigio
  • 1 cup Fireball cinnamon whisky
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 ounces ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Add the apples, cinnamon sticks, apple cider, Pinot Grigio, Fireball, and ginger ale to a large pitcher.
  2. Lightly stir and let stand for at least 30 minutes for the best results.
