Full Description
Although it looks simple, we’ve put handy pockets throughout this bag to store those items you need while wandering. The main compartment is big enough for binoculars and a small field guide and has a generously sized zippered pocket. Under the top flap on the Haversack’s front is another full-length open pocket faced with flat pockets ideal for pens, a small note pad, or calculator. We even included pockets on the outside ends that would easily fit a small cell phone or iPod®. 18-ounce canvas throughout, the Haversack has leather trim and piping, and a leather flap strap with brass roller buckle. An adjustable leather shoulder strap insures carrying comfort while you wander the woods or sidewalks. Also available with cotton web components. Made in USA.

I carried one of these for 14 years and my purse and everyday bag and just happily received my second. I am excited to break in the new one. Excellent quality and craftsmanship! Proud owner of multiple duluth packs and love every one of them.

I wanted this bag for a long time. While it is pricey, they will last forever if you take care of them. There are a couple of drawbacks...if you have any size to you and have ordered leather handles, you may want to order an extender from them. This makes the crossbody much more handy and comfortable. You can call them directly to order that. Also, if you are not careful, things can fall out. I wish they would work on that by adding snaps or velcro to inside pockets. Just learn to be careful. I also own a shell bag that was purchased years ago. Just gets better with time. Though the haversack has a few drawbacks, I would and probably will purchase another. Duluth Pack is good to work with.

Great size for traveling on air planes. Everything gets into one bag, and goes through scanning very good. Recommend it to anyone looking for a travel/every day tote. Goes any where any time.

I've known five people, myself included, that own a haversack and I've seen it perform well from a purse to a school bag.
Long before the iPad came out my spouse and I found it handy for carrying small IBM Thinkpads and Eee PCs. It's also good for keeping sketchbooks or reading material handy when you don't want to lug around a huge backpack, not to mention plenty of places to keep writing utensils organized.
The haversack combines the tough and well thought out design of a Duluth Pack product with a convenient size, I highly recommend it!Posted on 7/15/10 by wingsofjudas

I bought an iPad and it fits perfectly into the zipper pocket of the Haversack! I have a neoprene sleeve that goes into the zipper pocket and the iPad slips right in. Like it was MADE for the iPad.

I use this as my commuter bag. Especially when I'm commuting by bike, it gives me a better center of gravity than a back pack. It's just big enough to carry lunch and office accessories I don't want to leave at work each day. The only real problem I have, is the front side of the case is notably faded relative to the back. Still functional, just not as sharp to look at.

I first bought this for my now wife. Then she packed it with too much stuff, so I got her the mini to keep the bulk down. I found this bag to be great when I am out looking for rocks and fossils. It holds quite a bit of stuff in seperate compartments and I can keep my field guides in there, too. I use bird watching binoculars and it's great to stow them away instead of around the neck. Remember the Jerry Seinfeld episode with the European Mans Bag? This isn't it. It's burly enough for anyone to carry.
