Great Scout Pack for EDC!Review by IzzysMom

I bought my first DP pack from a private sale; the pack was never used and in pristine condition, but it looked brand new from the factory. The workmanship is excellent! I love the thick canvas, thick leather and the riveting. I use this for daily work commutes and it holds a surprising amount of essentials including my lunch. Since this is my first non-synthetic unstructured pack, it took a few tries to pack it just right so that it remained balanced. I get nothing but compliments on the Black pack I wear. Since buying this great pack, I’ve opted to again buy (private sale) an unused Scoutmaster Pack in waxed canvas that will do well with my daily commutes to school and to later haul gear while I’m on the road training. Customer care is great! I asked about caring for my pack since I didn’t receive tags and was advised with a lot of information. Great product, great customer care, and thanks, Nicole, I love my first DP pack :)

After obsessing about this bag for a year, I finally bought it. I get comments on it all the time. It's great for biking to the bar, I don't feel like such a dork now. It goes with all of my clothes. I just love it. (Posted on 10/25/2013)

I recieved this pack for my birthday, and it is phenominal. It is an excellent pack to carry my bushcrafting gear in, and has so much room! I am really pleased with this bag. When looking for a bushcraft bag, or even just a every day bookbag, the Duluth Scout Pack is DEFINETALY the way to go! The packs are guarenteed for life, which I believe is not needed because you just aren't going to tear this bag up. I am truely pleased and would recomend this pack to anyone. :) (Posted on 9/13/2013)

I bought this pack in Saturdays NYC and it's the perfect everyday bag. Very well made. I cycle, so it comes in handy for that, but I also use it when walking. Gets lots of compliments. I'd love one in several colours! (Posted on 6/7/2013)

Great product, great people, terrible websiteReview by NS

The bag is PERFECT and gets 5 stars. Customer service is among the friendliest I've ever talked to. The website needs a serious upgrade though. I placed an order and thought everything was fine, but after 2 weeks with no bag I called and found out it was backordered and would be another 3 weeks before they had it ready. Why wouldn't the site list items as backordered?? My order status was never updated and I never received a phone call or e-mail. How is this not automated???

Call before ordering and confirm they have what your interested in.

DULUTH PACK RESPONSE:
Thank you! We do our best to contact customers in regards to backordered items, and we apologize profusely that you did not receive our message. We certainly appreciate your feedback and highly value you as a Duluth Pack customer! (Posted on 9/4/2012)

My husband got me the navy scout pack and I love it! It is so strong - I don't have any concerns even when I fill it full of heavy books. I use it mostly for taking stuff to work. I toss a small purse inside, with the rest of my stuff. Highly recommend. (Posted on 3/21/2012)

I've been looking forever for a nice canvas backpack that isn't too bulky or masculine-looking. This bag is perfect. I bike to work on a regular basis and I take it with me every time. My only complaint is that I wish there was another smaller pocket to separate different items. Other than that, the quality is wonderful and I get a ton of compliments on it. (Posted on 11/3/2011)

Great for everyday tripsReview by casey

I've been using my scout pack for about a week, mostly for walking and taking public transit to work. I love this pack.

One thing I was surprised at was how low it sits on your back even on the tightest buckle setting. It feels balanced just fine; I guess I was just used to cranking my old backpack straps way tight so the pack hung nearer to my shoulders. The canvas is heavy and rugged, and the leather straps, once stiff out of the box, are now becoming more supple and easier to get in and out of the buckles. The holds a surprising amount for when I need it to, but is small and sleek enough for all the rest of the time.

I carry my laptop, charger, day planner and a pad of paper in the main compartment, and all my small items in the zippered pocket. If you pack lightly, you might even be able to use this as a weekend bag (without a laptop inside). Two thumbs way up. (Posted on 7/13/2011)

I love my scout pack! It holds all of my piano books and if I need just one subject for school it totally works. I've taken it on trips to Silver Dollar City and it's very comfortable all day, even with a box of popcorn in it! Big bonus: It's made in the USA! Which is very important. (Posted on 5/4/2011)

I just received my pack in the mail and i am getting so many comment on my University's campus. Everyone want to know where did i get these amazing pack from. "Can i purchase it in the bookstore?" I am loving the attention that i am receiving. I chose the Maroon color.

This pack is very reliable!! I carry my MacBook Pro around, along with my portfolio, wallet, brush, charger. And the special zipper section inside the pack allows to keep my "protection" (wink wink)..... College Rocks!!!!

GREAT JOB DULUTH!!!!! (Posted on 3/31/2011)
Perfect city bagReview by bobc

For years, Duluth shell bags and haversacks were my "around town" carriers. But when the Scout Pack appeared, I saw in it the perfect city bag. Books and papers get swallowed up, and there's still room for a camera or two. Little stuff like pens, pocketknife, etc. find a home in the zippered pocket.

Handsome and sturdy bagReview by lucyklyle

This bag is incredibly handsome and functional. It would be nice to have one more interior pocket because things can get lost at the bottom very easily. Nonetheless, it does well without it and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a backpack for an urban setting. (Posted on 7/15/2010)
