Product Description

We took our immensely popular Rambler Pack and scaled it down. In the process we created a super functional day pack with European flair. Need easy access to your binoculars, point-and-shoot camera, wallet, keys, sunscreen or bug dope? Simply unbuckle the handy front pocket. (All this stuff actually fits in the front pocket!) Web shoulder straps.

I am a full time grad student, part time explorer and this bag is just what I needed. The fabric is thick and durable. I have checked it numerous times over the last two years and not one stitch, not one strap, not one rivet was out of place. Awesome product I highly recommend it.

Awesome pack

This thing has been dragged all over. I use it for over night camping trips.it's been thrown in the dirt and dragged up the side of trees. Using mine as a hunting pack I over load it and have no problems. My only problem is i can't afford to buy one for everyone I know, so they can experience the quality of an Amercian made pack.

Perfect for everything but hiking
  • Rating

I have used this pack for travel for light camping (aka car camping), to small hikes in the woods and have not found a single thing wrong with it. That is until I went on a weekend trip to the BWCA. I packed this bag for me to survive 2 nights in the woods and man what a pain in the but it was. Once I got this thing loaded up the bag wanted to do nothing more than sag back. There are no chest straps to keep the back pack standing upright and made for a very unease portage. I was literally shocked when I packed everything together and saw the performance of this backpack. That being said, it still is a great backpack but I will never take it to the BWCA unless I know for fact there will be ZERO portages.

i am STILL in love with my wanderer pack after a lot of treks, hikes and outings and having ordered the padded pack straps... Im enjoying this pack even more! I was delighted to find that Duluth will even make them to match the color of the pack ! Mine is RED and I've given it the name of " the RED BEAUTY " !!!! in over 60 years of hiking I have owned alot of packs but this one is beyond a doubt ... the best !

make a great pack even better with the padded straps

I have "updated" my review of this awesome pack already and will do so again. I would highly suggest and strongly recommend that if you decide to purchase this pack and if you will be hiking long distances, carrying weight... GET THE PADDED STRAPS ! the cloth straps that are on the this pack are wide but the pads will make a huge difference in comfort , most especially for the " older " hiker ( like me )

We gave our son one for school and after seeing it and being around it for I decided I needed one too! Great pack for everything, both packs took a beating in CO elk hunting last fall and still look great. Can't do better than this!

Having a love affair with this pack!

I submitted a review in April after having just received my pack, and was impressed in the quality and workmanship upon opening the package. Now after having carried it on several snow shoe outings and hikes, Im even more impressed. I did use Nikwax brand of waterproofing ( cloth and leather ) on the bag and straps and even in a late spring record snow fall for Alaska, this thing shed water and snow like a duck's backside. i tend to " over pack " and the roominess of the main bag is more then ample for all my gear. Several times folks have commented on the "coolness" of this pack and asked Where did i get it. I did add a piece of closed cell foam pad ( cut to fit ) to slip in the pack so that pointy/ hard items wont rub against my back. I am extremely pleased with this pack !

I would highly recommend this pack for serious hikers, trekkers, backpackers and for everyday use, and ... if ya want to be " COOL "

Less then a week from placing my order and I received my pack. This is truly an "OLD SCHOOL " piece of equipment !! I opened the box ... and was immediately impressed wit the workmanship, the attention to detail and the quality of this pack. I have been backpacking since age 10 ( i am 69 ) and still at it. I haven't seen this level of quality in years! I have it fully loaded and will be taking out for a trial snowshoe hike tomorrow and can hardly wait. Im hoping to get 69 years of use out of this pack. Thank you for a great piece of gear!
