I bought this pack to use while leading guided nature hikes. It is so much more useful and convenient than a back pack. When I want to show my group something, I don't have to take off a back pack, etc. - it's right at my fingertips. And it doesn't make my back hot and sweaty. It's been a very useful bag for my interpretive nature programs.
Nice pack. Simple- it does what it is supposed to do. It carries enough for a short hike and can be worn with my daypack for additional cargo space. I put items that I want to be easily accessable in the lumbar pack and occasionally pull it around to wear across the front. I purchased a canvas water bottle carrier which attaches to the belt.
