Great bag for anyone!Review by Claytown

I am a junior in high school and work on a ranch so i needed a bag that could withstand a teenage boy and ranch work( it has been thru 2 long cattle drives) I have had this bag for two years and besides a few scrapes and stains it still looks great. but stains and scrapes gives the bag character. It is a good bag for anyone who has a busy and fast pace lifestyle like mine. It is a great get-up-and-go bag. I recommend it to anyone! (Posted on 11/2/2010)

After the airline lost all my checked luggage, I lived out of this bookbag for two months in Europe and Asia. 17 countries and 6 years later, it's still holding up perfectly and the leather just gets better with age. (Posted on 8/5/2010)
Beautiful, Durable, a bit smallReview by Paul J

Maybe I carry too much stuff, but the 4" depth is not enough with a laptop in a sleeve. But... what a beautiful bag. Sometimes I wish for a grab handle at the top, since I own a Duluth Builders Bag. The leather strap pad is elegant and functional. (Posted on 7/16/2010)

I ordered this bag to hold my laptop and other school things, but when it came it was HUGE. I knew the dimensions ahead of time, but because the bag is so boxy and rigid it was entirely unwieldy. If you are a smallish woman, I would definitely consider a different bag. Although the style and quality were great! (Posted on 7/15/2010)

I have owned the bag now for 3 months and I am in love with it! It is wonderfully made with very high quality leather and canvas.
I got a laptop sleeve for my laptop and there is still plenty of room. I love how much room is still in it. (Posted on 3/20/2010)

Got me through grad schoolReview by mgibbons19

I bought this bag back in 97 and used it for my years in grad school and after until 03. During this time I rode bike to work every day rain snow or shine. I overstuffed it with heavy books time and again. I used it to run errands all over town. When I cleaned up, I used it for travel to conferences and presentations, and for a few years after.

After several years, some of the trim started fraying from use. I sent it back and DP replaced the trim. At this point I still have and occasionally use my pack, but use something larger to go to work nowadays.

Since I used mine for bike commuting for years, the 4 stars reflect DP not having a few things that specifically bike-oriented bags will include. First, someplace to hang a rear blinkie would be nice. Second, a little more volume would make it easier to pack a t-shirt on sweaty days.

OTOH, I don't think I have any bags that put up with such heavy duty daily use as this one, that are still going strong.

    Great Bag Review by Chris

I love this bag. I've owned it for 7-8 years and not treated it all that well and it still looks great and is holding up like a champ. I used it primarily as a book bag through college and now with a cheap neoprene laptop case I use it as my laptop bag.

I suspect that sometime in the next decade or so I'll have to stop in the Superior Street factory and have a new strap put on since mine has been fraying for years, but in the mean time, I could have gone through a dozen other bags instead.

My only complaint isn't even entirely about this product, it's the fact that I couldn't buy the matching Duluth Pack laptop sleeve and use it with the Deluxe Book Bag I already owned. The sleeve is slightly too big to fit inside this bag with a 15" laptop in it.
