Tough Little Bag
  • Rating

I've had my Duluth Pack messenger bag for over 10 years now and I'm about ready for a new one. The material stands up well to use and abuse, though noticable fading shows up around year 6 or so. Had the strap replaced in year 10; and I've noticed a number of holes wearing through. All in all, these bags can take a beating and last a goodly while.

shipping takes too long

I have ordered twice form Duluth. The first time I paid the up charge for two day delivery, it took six business days. Emailed to ask why, no response. The second time it two 12 business days to receive my item. Amazon can deliver in a day or two, I think 12 is completely unreasonable.

Product below average

Sorry to report with all these glowing reviews that my bag didn’t last 8 months before I have to send it back for repair. It was a Christmas gift in 2012. I have used it perhaps 4 or 5 days a week on average and some of the stitching has now come apart. We will see how the repair/replacement procedure goes and I don’t like the fact that I have to pay for the packaging and shipping to have it repaired.

Best Diaper Bag ever
  • Rating

We have had this bag now a year as a diaper bag & it has held up well to bottles spilling in it, my son stepping on it with his snowy winter boots in our car, and generally being thrown around. I am glad we invested in this bag because once she outgrows it as a diaper bag, we can use it traveling and carrying around all our electronic devices together.

I bought this for my wife when we both were in college, she would wear out bags quickly and I already know Duluth Packs are the toughest bags on the market so I bought her this, she was thanking me for months! Now I'm finishing up college and I use it daily to carry my books and laptop, I understand why she loves it so much!! Keep up the good work!!!

not as sturdy as I'd hoped

I'm surprised to hear so many reviews stating that this bag has lasted them years without significant wear. Mine started wearing out after about four years; I have limped it along to its sixth year, but at this point the strap is almost worn through and there are multiple large holes in stress points in the canvas (where the straps connect to the bag and at the bottom). I do walk or bike almost everywhere, so my bag is constantly moving with my body, so maybe I just wear it out more quickly? It's a lot sturdier than the average cheapie bag from a discount store, and I do appreciate the natural canvas (as oppsed to nylon), but I would say this bag is best for only light or infrequent use.

I've had my satchel for over 10 years and it is still in excellent condition. It goes on all my adventures and keeps up with me. This is a purchase you won't regret!

Absolutely great bag. I've made friends over having a duluth bag and anyone from MN or a canoeing fan will immediately spot it. But how can you cite Yale as an ideal place for this bag? Obviously a Dartmouth bag... and has treated me well there !
