Full Description

Our shell bags were originally numbered in a series from 100 to 400. The designation was used to note the specific number of shotgun shells a bag would hold. For generations, this bag has been a companion of professionals that know the value of a light, indestructible utility bag for the woods. But don’t let the name and rugged construction fool you, this fashionable series of bags is also great as an everyday purse or handbag. These classics don’t get old; they get more experienced. Made in USA.

Great bag!!!

I received the 300 bag for Christmas and I love it! I have a 100 shell bag that was my mother's from years ago and I wanted another one that was bigger. This bag is big but not too big and it isn't as cumbersome as I thought it would be to go in and out of the buckles. I am able to open just one side to reach my wallet. I have it in burgundy and it's a great color-vibrant but not too bright. This bag lets me just carry one instead of a purse and separate bag for kid stuff. Great job, DP!

I am so happy that I ordered this bag. I tend to carry my life around with me (busy mom with a 4 year old). The 300 fits everything (wallet, phone, snacks, water bottle, book, etc) comfortably. Thinking about ordering the 100 as well.

Great as small camera bag

I use the #100 Double Shell Bag to hold my Olympus Micro-Four-Thirds camera System. It easily holds the Camera and 3 lenses. I have 2 of the lenses in neoprene pouches and the third one attached to the camera body. I added the 12 inch strap extension so that it could comfortable hang across my body.

Light, comfortable and it doesn't look like a camera bag.

Just bought this bag when I was in Minnesota a week ago and I love it. I am hard on my things and this bag is handing my wear and tear very well. I am on this website cause I want another, but based on the reviews below, I might not need another one for awhile....still, don't know if that weill stop me!

The #100 is a bag for everyday carry

From the day I found this bag it has become a part of my life. It hangs on a hook by the door and travels with me when ever I leave the house, whether I am off to work or just heading down the creek to play with my kids. One of the double front pockets carries an Otter Box 2000 containing a few everyday carry essentials and the other a 6x4 notepad and my wallet. The main pouch fits my Mora knife, lunch and a handful of essentials tailored for the day. I can fill it up and still carry it comfortably.

The leather straps with their brass hardware are durable and handsome. I was concerned that the buckles would be fiddly but did not want to use a bag with a more modern latch. I have been pleased with the ease that the buckles open and fasten closed again. The shoulder pad carries comfortably on my shoulder but took a couple of weeks to mold to a more anatomical contour.

This is the bag that I searched so long to find. Well done Duluth Pack

Stylish and practical!

It is a few centimeters too small to hold my laptop, but other than that, it is perfect! It looks great and holds everything I need without my feeling like a bag lady.

Great alternative briefbag

This is a great smallish briefcase. I have used(abused) it daily for 5 years with little signs of wear. I think it will out live me.

Rugged and Versatile

I own a Duluth Pack shoulder bag as well, and though this is smaller, I actually use it more often, since its twin outside pockets are so useful. Can be used to haul a compact or SLR camera, several guide books, water bottle, with side pockets full of snacks--perfect size and shape for exploring a city all day! Very well made, every stitch and rivet perfectly placed. Leather strap is tough but elegant, makes it more dressy that a cotton strap.
I've used British-made canvas bags for twenty odd years, and yet I prefer this bag for my travels, accompanied by other Duluth Pack bags.
