cracked eye from wedge when received

I was so excited for my new axe. Then what is this?... A crack in the eye from the metal wedge that runs under the cheek! In addition, the edges of the hickory were chipped off either from the wooden wedge in manufacture or from mishandling during shipment. Now perhaps this won't affect the axe, perhaps all eyes crack under the pressure but I didn't expect this from GB or duluth pack. I hope this will all be corrected.

My favorite camp tool

Have had my Gransfors forest axe for over 10 years now. It is easily carried in my pack & has kept its edge & balance very well. The handle length provides great leverage.

there is nothing bad to say about this axe.
there's is nothing you cant do with it, its perfect size so you can carry it in a rucksack and take it on trips, and if you dont have a knife thats no problem because it comes razor sharp.
