I bought this years ago for my girlfriend. Funny how I am the one who has used it the most! It has just enough support to be helpful in the canoe, but I also attach a throwable square pillow to it and use it on the floor of my tiny sailboat. If I tip the sailboat it will float with the pad attached. It has durable straps to adjust the back, and a great pocket for things you need to keep on hand. It's getting old but doesn't show much wear at all. We've always appreciated it. Also nice to use on a picnic table or bench when needed.

Canoe & Camp Chair okay

Works great as a camp chair. I had difficulty with it as a canoe chair because I have molded seats (Ala Old Town canoe). The chair didn't stay put very well because of the molded seat and therefore had a tendency to move around a bit. The removable zippered bag served well. I'd like to have the option of being able to connect the bag to the front of the seat so that it could be used more easily to keep tackle handy while fishing. Would also be handy to have the straps that hold the seat to the canoe seat to all be the same length as the two longer straps -- would make the seat easier to attach to a log, etc,, when in camp. Overall, I found the seat useful.
