Excellent product for the traveler. Carry's a wide range of items. Easy access. Fits under plane seats. Looks professional at a meeting but relaxed if tramping around a country. (Posted on 6/8/2013)
Great all around bagReview by Mike G

Great all around bag. Lots of room for stuff, is like a briefcase or computer bag on steroids. The only drawback is the d-rings that the strap attaches to - they are sewn on but just to the canvas with a rivet. the rivet and anchor point should be sewn with a similar larger sized leather piece of the same size on the other side, with the single rivet. The reason I say this is because the bag can be totally loaded down with papers/books etc and not just clothes so it could do with a slightly sturdier strap anchor system. In addition, a removable pad for the bottom (inside) would be great so it can be a computer bag as well. i still use mine as a computer bag, but have to be careful when I plop it down. Great product overall, and i dont see myself getting anything else for a long time. I have had this for about 5 years, maybe 6, and it is still awesome. (Posted on 8/29/2012)

I received this bag as a gift 5 years ago from my boss prior to my first real business trip to Houston. Its been in my truck for 1000's of miles. 10"s of plane flights, and has held up for every day meetings and traveling. DP made the pack epic. (Posted on 8/18/2012)
Best bag I've ever had for less than $0.10 a day Review by Elliot

Like most of the reviewers, I have lived out of this bag for the last five years, and it has easily been the best purchase I've ever made. It's gotten me through the last year of college, two years teaching (at rough schools too), two years of office work, dozens of business trips (unlike harder carry-ons it'll work under the seat in front of me as well as overhead, in case I need it mid-flight to work), and more road trips than I can remember. And it still looks respectable enough that I don't hesitate to bring it into meetings with our CEO. Whenever I go anywhere for a week or less, this bag is the only thing I take. When I go shooting or hunting, it works for that too. Enough room for clothes, shoes in the outside (real buckle) pockets, laptop and work papers, plus anything else I'd need. It's spacious enough that I can easily overpack for a business trip even if this is all I bring. I've been a fan of the one-bag philosophy for a while, and this one fits the bill. Five years in it's only cost me 9.5 cents a day for this bag, and it's the most reliable investment I've made. (Posted on 11/27/2011)

This bag is everything I expected and more. Very well made, hopefully a bag I'll carry for years to come.

The leather handle could be stitched around the perimeter, but that's a minor cosmetic issue. (Posted on 11/26/2011)
5 years and still going strongReview by JRyan

I bought this bag over 5 years ago and use it continuously, it is my portable office. I love it dearly. It holds more than you'd expect, and things don't get shuffled around. When parts wear out, you can get them repaired/replaced (under the craftsmanship guarantee) without getting rid of the whole bag, and since it's made of natural materials, the parts you do discard are either benign (recyclable) metals or biodegradable cotton fibers. Whoever designed this bag must've been a fastidious traveler to know what to include: there's ample capacity in the main compartment, smartly designed pockets for loose items, and the exterior pockets are tremendously useful. Admittedly, the buckles do get snagged when you drag the bag around tight places, but to me that's a part of its vintage charm. Just look at the bag! It's practically an icon of the culture and history of Lake Superior. When you travel far away, you just have to look at it and good memories of Duluth will come flooding back. If someone could make this in backpack form I'd do cartwheels. I love Duluth Pack. (Posted on 8/26/2011)

The Classic Carry-on-Canvas bag is the best bag I have ever owned. It is the successor to the Lands End classic canvas bag - and that is saying a lot! Never discontinue this bag. (Posted on 9/22/2010)
For when I need to carry everything!Review by buzzard

I have two other, smaller briefcases, but when I need the BIG one, this is what I reach for. Love that it's canvas and a bit different than my ballistic ones. Holds everything and then some and is well organized. Also, I like the REAL buckles on the outside pockets - not snaps or velcro like most. (Posted on 5/18/2010)
    Great Overall CarrybagReview by germancaraholic

I rec'd this portfolio bag as a gift. While it is a carryon bag, I use it mainly as a daily briefcase. I have never lacked for carrying capacity as a briefcase, and I especially appreciate and all use the interior pockets. I used it once for a 2-day business trip, and its the only luggage I needed. Wonderful product. My only complaint is that the exterior buckles are durable though quaint, but a little cumbersome to use and they tend to get hung up on other luggage items and metal edges (like in the overhead compartments on airplanes).
